Here I am world. Sitting at the dining room table, the dryer beeping at me in the background, the birds chirping upstairs, amazingly I am by myself. Oops, spoke to soon, here comes Rob. I usually keep a journal (only it is handwritten) and noone reads it! I was planning on someone finding them after I die and saying “look what we found – a journal into the past”. It is a little different writing when someone is actually going to read what I am writing.
This all started because I wanted Kris (my dear daughter) to take pictures of my knitting and crochet projects so I could post them to my groups. She has discovered the wonderful world of photography – and is actually really good at it. O.K. Things just got crazy as I would expect. So I plugged in my IPOD turned it up loud, put on headphones (new that are just great cause they don’t stick in my ear – I hate earbuds!) and trying to “tune” out the world. I think it worked – Kris was talking to me and I said “What?” she said “nevermind”.
Mom called and said we were in for a “hugh storm” – of course no one here knew anything about it (she is 3 states away). We are planning on going furniture shopping. Not to buy – just to look to see what kind of style Kris and Rob (in the future known as K&R) like. The neighbors just drove in with BIG furniture boxes in the back of their truck – isn’t that ironic? Don’t think the hugh storm is going to affect our day. This is kinda fun – Rob is talking and I don’t hear a word – just nod and smile and type.
I thought K had put the pictures here on my new blog but I can’t find them so I guess if I can’t you can’t. That means I have to figure out how to add them cause they actually look really cool! I think I am getting the hang of this knitting thing. And I like it. I love yarn. The feel, the look, the color, the variety. Mohair, cotton, alpaca, synthetic, silk, thick-thin, baby, ribbon – any kind. I am an addict. I cannot stop buying the stuff. Don’t have any idea of what I am going to make out of it – just love it. However, it is turning out to be some pretty cool things. Like I have made two hats for Caps for a Cure. I did my first pair of socks. Have my second pair on the needles and the yarn (but not the needles) for my third pair. I am on the lookout for the perfect yarn for a fourth pair that is called “Petticoat Socks”. They just looked so much like my mother and I enjoy making things for her so much – she always is my best admirer of my work (it may be because she is prejudiced). Besides, she is just such a lady. I can’t wait for her to move here to NC. I want to spend as much time with her as I can cause life is only so long, ya know?
I started crocheting doileys’ cause I was looking to make bedspreads and wall hangings for my minature projects. I wanted to see just how small a thread I could work with. I think I could maybe go smaller but I thought this turned out nice. (Now see if I can add a pic.)

I think it worked. Well, guess for my first post this is enough. I believe they are waiting on me to go get ready… More pictures later.
